WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Ellertson and I am very excited to be your teacher this year!
Can you believe it’s almost time to go back to school? I hope you have been enjoying your summer so far. I have been spending my vacation reading, kayaking, sailing and enjoying time with my family. I also have been working on creating lots of exciting lessons and activities for us to do in fourth grade!
To help you to be as prepared as you can be, I hope you have been working on your summer reading and have been practicing your multiplication facts! It is extremely important that you have all your facts memorized before school begins. Click on the MATH GAMES tab to get started.
During the first week of school I am asking that you bring to in the following supplies:
I hope to hear from you!

Dear Students:
It’s hard to believe that the school year already over and you are ready to be fifth graders! I hope you learned as much from me as I learned from you! The summer is a great time to relax, recharge your batteries, and to get ready for next year. This summer try to do something you have never done before! Learn to surf! Write a book!! Play a sport you never played before (I recommend hockey)! Volunteer somewhere! Have a lemonade stand and donate the money to a worthy cause! Visit someplace you have never been – you don’t have to go too far, start right here in Randolph! Put down the computer, phone, ipad, etc. and go outside and play! Ride your bike/scooter, go for a hike, sit outside and look at the stars, lay in a hammock and read a book, build a fort, go camping (even in your own backyard), plant a garden, learn to cook! Create something wonderful! The list of fun things to do this summer is endless if you put down the screen and look around! In too short a time you will be back in school – dreaming about being outside so take advantage of it now while you can. I will miss you next year and hope you have a wonderful, relaxing, unplugged summer vacation! Your teacher, Mrs. Ellertson May 20, 2019 Thank you to everyone for their wonderful gifts for teacher appreciation week. I felt very appreciated all week :)! From now until the end of the year we will be working on creating our own math games and finishing the powerful book We Are The Ship by Kadir Nelson. You can learn more about the book on our Literacy tab. You can also find information about our math game project under the math tab! We will be getting together to play our student created games on Monday, June 10th at 2:30 in the cafeteria. I will be sending home a reminder soon. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
